16th & 23rd October - 3 pubs and 3 restaurants in Tyrone will be shortlisted based on the highest number of votes received and will feature in the Ulster Herald (three businesses per week).
13th to 23rd October - A ‘mystery shopper’ judge who will use a pre-determined set of criteria to rate each establishment will visit the 6 that are shortlisted. This process will be used to reveal the Pub and the Restaurant of the Year 2008.
The 2 winners will be announced and featured in the Ulster Herald on Thursday 27th October 2008. They will receive a specially commissioned plaque and a promotional banner to be displayed outside their premises.
Votes for Tyrone venues will only be accepted from Thursday 2nd October and the closing date for all votes is 5pm Friday 10th October 2008 to be eligible. The 3 pubs and the 3 restaurants in each county that receive the highest number of votes will proceed through to the next round. The pre-determined set of criteria will be drawn up by NWIPP. The mystery shopper will base their marks on the visit made which can be at any time during the day or evening.
The prizes are as stated and are non-negotiable. |
